As stated before, we do not believe success is true success unless it can be measured. We consider mentoring successful when married couples are able to implement new positive habits into their relationship for a sustained period of time. In other words, when husbands and wives are able to learn their specific roles within the relationship from God’s perspective, the result is an enriched or restored marriage.

Each week, we receive e-mails and letters from mentors and mentees alike given testimony of how their marriages are truly stronger as a result of a relationship with her mentors. We would like to share with you to some of the stories we are privileged to hear.

“The foundation that God has established through Marriage Mentor's is growing and moving in both of their lives on a daily basis. The real thing that I see is that they have learned how to trust God in all of their circumstances. Skippy has been taking the role of husband and leader of the family, and Ginger is understanding her role in allowing him to be the leader and giving him the respect, love and honor in his role. Skippy too has learned to balance work and family and time with  Ginger. He has learned the need to be able to communicate respectfully, lovingly and honestly.”

Marriage Mentors has been a true blessing and their faith based approach and "mentoring" style vs. secular "counseling" was just what we needed. We have now transitioned from meeting with our mentor couple once a week to every other as they feel we have moved on to an enrichment phase as opposed to crisis management. Feel confident in recommending them to other couples who need guidance or as a ministry option for those who may be looking for an avenue to help others. There is a growing waiting list and they really need couples willing to be mentors. Ginger and I are seriously considering it once we have graduated from the program and completed the training.

I wanted you guys to celebrate with me the fact we had 2 professions of faith last night. This is why we do what we do. They left with new Bibles, Our daily Bread, 31 ways to say I love you, Prayer guides, and their own copy of The Four Spiritual Laws, signed by me, so they can remember the day they were saved so when Satan wants to convince them otherwise, this can be waved in his face. God is so good!
